Each of these monotypes is a one-of-a-kind image, created in a spontaneous and multilayered printing process using hand transfer. In the process the colors mix in an unpredictable way, producing interesting shades and nuances. The patterns which I use take their inspiration from medieval Viking ornaments.
Forms arise and dissolve, creating ambiguous shapes that can be read in many ways. Viewers are invited to create their own narrative.
These forms appear relative, fluid and ever-changing, creating a never ending dance, a rhythmic and dynamic movement reflecting the cosmic play of life.

These mixed media paintings take their inspiration from the architectural structures at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, Germany. They reflect the overall dominance and ambivalence of grids in our modern life.
